Gerüchte um neues Spiel der Prince of Persia Serie für Nintendo Wii. In der letzten Ausgabe der EDGE bestätigte der leitende Ubisoft Mitarbeiter Ben Mattes (Producer von Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones), eine Nintendo DS Version des bislang nicht auf Nitendo Wii erschienen Spiels.
Was für Wii Spieler wesentlich interessanter sein dürfte: er schließt gleichzeitig eine Nintendo Wii Version nicht aus 
The game ships on PS3, 360 and PC later this year, but a complementary DS title is also in the works. ‘It’s connected to the game in a very interesting way, but it’s not a port. A complementary experience, shall we say?’ And the prospect of a Wii Version? ‘We ported Two Thrones to the Wii. It was a quick and dirty port, i can say. With that we saw a lot of potential. The controls were not fully optimised, did not take full advantage of the Wii, but a lot of people saw the POP universe could certainly have a home on Wii. Since then people have been looking into that, but there’s no formal announcement. We are investigating it very seriously. You would never see a port of the game we’re making however. That’ll never, never happen.’
Interessanterweise bezeichnet er das bereits für Nintendo Wii erschienene Wii Spiel “Prince of Persia – Rival Swords”, als schnell und lieblos erstellte Portierung auf die Nintendo Wii Konsole. Dies lässt auf eine stark an die Möglichkeiten der Nintendo Wii Konsole angepasste Version hoffen. Aus der Wii-Fernbedienung und dem Nunchuk, dürften für die Schwertkämpfe und Moves so einiges rauszuholen sein. Sicherlich ein Punkt der bei “Prince of Persia – Rival Swords” für Nintendo Wii stark vernachlässigt wurde.
